Our Pledge
Skipton Digital is dedicated to providing a harassment-free, welcoming experience for everyone, regardless of age, body size, disability, ethnicity, gender identity and expression, level of experience, nationality, personal appearance, race, religion, sexual identity and orientation, or socioeconomic status.
Expected Behaviour
We ask all participants to:
- Be friendly, patient, and welcoming.
- Be respectful of differing viewpoints and experiences.
- Accept constructive feedback gracefully.
- Focus on what is best for the community.
- Show empathy towards other community members.
Unacceptable Behaviour
The following behaviour is considered unacceptable at any Skipton Digital event or community space:
- Harassment, intimidation, or discrimination in any form.
- Verbal or written abuse, including offensive comments related to personal characteristics.
- Deliberate intimidation, stalking, or following.
- Unwelcome sexual attention or advances.
- Sustained disruption of talks, workshops, or other events.
- Advocating for, or encouraging, any of the above behaviour.
Scope
This code of conduct applies at all Skipton Digital events, online spaces (including social media and messaging platforms), and in any one-on-one communications carried out in the context of community activity.
Reporting
If you experience or witness unacceptable behaviour, or have any other concerns, please contact the organisers as soon as possible at info@skipton.digital. All reports will be handled with discretion and taken seriously. You will not be asked to confront anyone and we will not reveal your identity without your consent.
Enforcement
Organisers may take any action they deem appropriate in response to unacceptable behaviour, including a verbal warning, expulsion from the event, or a ban from future Skipton Digital events and community spaces.
